Head of Production

ITF

Job description

Are you a highly skilled and innovative Graphic Designer looking to make an impact on the global stage? The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is seeking a talented individual to lead our graphic design efforts and help elevate global issues and drive collective action to improve the rights of all transport workers.

About the Role

As the lead Graphic Designer at ITF, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our communications, enriching our campaigns and organisational objectives, producing compelling content that cuts through the noise and moves people to action.

You will lead graphic design initiatives that span our digital ecosystem, social media, and print channels. This is a hands-on role that involves everything from strategy and planning to design and execution.

Why You?

You breathe creativity and have a knack for telling stories through design.
You’re not just a designer; you’re an innovator who can turn complex ideas into engaging content.
You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Graphic Design: Be the driving force behind ITF’s graphic design, providing expertise in creative strategy and producing compelling content in support of our priorities, campaigns, and objectives.
Creative Content Production: Develop and produce creative content across various platforms, including online graphics for social media, event branding and collateral, print materials, animated assets for videos and social media, webpage design, and templates for InDesign and PowerPoint.
Campaign and Event Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute design expertise to campaigns, events, and other initiatives, utilizing the latest design techniques to maximize impact.
Innovation: Bring cutting-edge design practices, techniques, and approaches to enhance ITF’s design work.
Collaboration: Build collaborative relationships within the team and the organization to effectively translate complex information into engaging content.
Brand Management: Maintain and further develop ITF’s brand platform and visual identity guidelines.
Asset Management: Manage asset libraries, including stock images, photographs, videos, logos, and templates.

What We’re Looking for:

Substantial experience as a senior graphic designer in a multicultural setting.
Mastery over Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Animate, and XD).
An excellent portfolio representing a breadth of graphics design work across social media, print, web, and events.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present ideas confidently.

Bonus Points for:

Video editing skills and proficiency with Adobe Premiere / After Effects
Familiarity with CMSs (Drupal), CRMs (Action Network), and other platforms.
Experience working in an international environment.
Fluency in other languages besides English.

Who You Are:

You are passionate about trade unionism, progressive politics, and social justice. With a growth mindset, you value diversity and uphold integrity in everything you do. If you’re receptive to feedback and ready to make a global impact, you’re our ideal candidate. If you’re creative, driven with the belief that committed, organised people can change the world, this is a role for you.

Why this role?

New Role, Fresh Canvas: As a new position, you get to shape it, make it your own, and be a part of ITF’s pioneering in-house design unit.
Variety & Volume: From social media graphics, event branding, animated assets to webpage designs – you won’t get stuck in monotony.
Impact: Design content that resonates, tells stories, and mobilises action supporting ITF’s campaigns and goals.
Growth: Engage in continuous learning and coach team members, enhancing design skills throughout the organisation.
